The Cleveland Hi Bore XL driver is a special beast... As important as the clubhead is to maximizing distance and accuracy, playing with a correctly fit shaft is equally important. This is why Cleveland Golf and Fujikura composites have worked together to develop a two shaft fitting system specifically designed to maximize the performance of the HiBORE XL driver. The red shaft is a stiffer & heavier shaft that is designed for strong swings and better players. The gold is for tempo and regular swing speeds... Nail it and watch it go... probably for the player who wants a big boom and higher carry but more accuracy in flight....
