For those players in the know - this is a proper driver thats a real connisiuers choice - not lacking for technology, the J33R driver doesn't carry the same bells and whistles that some of the bigger named drivers do. There are no movable weights, no composite crowns, and the club is as traditionally shaped as can be. But hit it and you know what awesome feel and pure distance feels like. It goes like a driver should - long, confidence inspiring and with great feel.
There are a few technological advancements hidden beneath the appearance. An elastomer insert in the head provides a softer feel and slightly dampens the sound at impact so you get a very pleasing feel and sound when you hit the ball. A tungsten weight in the trailing edge to help position the center of gravity in the ideal spot for a high launch with low spin. The head is constructed of 6-4 titanium, which is a very strong material, providing the fastest legal ball speed off the face. The 460 cubic centimeter head is the largest legal club head under the USGA rules, which provides a greater effective hitting area.
The traditional shape is very pleasing to my eye, as it more closely resembles the older, more traditional drivers that have been replaced by square, triangular, or some other geometric shape. The deeper face will promote a very low spin launch. This is one of the keys for increased carry off the tee, and great run once it hits the deck so make sure it may be advantageous to increase the loft of the club that you try by one degree over your current model. This club is designed for the purist and player who is strong through the ball for greater control over the flight. Awesome offer with the golf balls too!
