The new Cleveland CG Red iron is the preferred option for Cleveland Golf's Tour staff. With a classic "player" profile, this club fits the eye of the accomplished golfer. Gelback, Cleveland Golf's lightweight, visco-elastic, vibration- damping material, is placed directly behind the hitting area of the clubface in the back cavity. Gelback is vibration-tuned to remove unwanted vibration on mis-hits while still allowing the player necessary feedback from the clubhead for a soft yet responsive feel.
The Cleveland CG Red Irons feature Next generation Micro-Cavity Technology (MCT) provides better stability and more forgiveness by removing weight from the topline and redistributing it to the extreme perimeters of the clubhead. By redistributing 10 grams low and deep, the center of gravity is improved by 15%, adding stability to off-center hits. This translates into a larger sweet spot for more consistent and accurate shots - even for such a players club... We think they are one of the most competitively priced player irons that have ever been introduced to the market under £400.
