Ping Anser Limited Edition 50th Anniversary Golf Putter
Full Details

Ping Anser Limited Edition 50th Anniversary Golf Putter

Arguably one of the most iconic and revolutionary pieces of golf equipment ever created is the Anser putter and to celebrate 50 years since the original model was produced Ping have created the Anser Limited Edition 50th Anniversary Putter. This isn't just any limited edition piece though, this Anser Putter has been made from the original moulds, assembled with components made in the U.S.A, and each of the 1550 putters has been hand ground by Ping Chairman and CEO John Solheim, just as he did 50 years ago in his family's garage.
The Anser Putter was produced from one of two original molds. The first was machined by Karsten; the second, which is slightly different, was machined by his son Allan, and is occasionally referred to as the "slope-side mold". The radiuses on both of these hand-machined tools were hand-finished with file and sand paper by Karsten.
The original putters were built from components produced by four US manufacturers: East Bay Brass Foundry, of Richmond California; True Temper Sports, of Emory, Mississippi; Golf Pride, of Southern Pines, North Carolina, now a division of Eaton Corporation; and 3M of St. Paul, Minnesota. The 50th Anniversary Model is made of components produced in the U.S.A by those same companies. East Bay used the original 1966 Anser tooling to produce the sand-cast heads. True Temper supplied the high-step shaft and Golf Pride molded the Ping PP58 grip, both of which were designs used in the original model. 3M is, and was, the manufacturer of the grip tape.
Inkeeping with Ping's philosophy and commitment to continuous improvement, these 50th Anniversary Anser Putters feature unique tungsten heel and toe weights incorporated into the iconic Anser heads, which have been precisely milled to produce outstanding lines and look.
Each putter comes in a commemorative presentation box with a superb leather headcover and certificate of authenticity personally signed by John Solheim.

Ping Vault Anser 2 Putter

Following on from the successes of the Ping Gold Putter Vault, the four models in the new Vault series are designed for golfers with a keen eye for detail and putters which are precision milled to the tightest tolerances. The Anser 2 blade is fully machined from 303 stainless steel forged billets and was a must have in the Vault range after its popularity and tour success. Players will experience improved putting touch and speed control with the patented True-Roll (TR) face technology, one of the most significant and measurable innovations in putting performance in the last several years. The individually milled face pattern varies in depth and pitch across the face, which speeds up off-centre impacts, ultimately leading to fewer three-putts and a cleaner stroke from off the middle of the face.  A finally contributing factor to the Anser 2's effectiveness is the 68-gram PING Pistol 62 grip; the contoured pistol shape fits naturally into the palm and fingertips, promoting a consistent grip pressure which will help get those putts online straight away.

Following on from the successes of the Ping Gold Putter Vault, the four models in the new Vault series are designed for golfers with a keen eye for detail and putters which are precision milled to the tightest tolerances. The Voss blade is fully machined from 303 stainless steel forged billets also the Voss is a new design that features a ball-width cavity for easier setup and sloped heel-toe weights for precise setup, this will mean that players experience improved putting touch and speed control with the patented True-Roll (TR) face technology, one of the most significant and measurable innovations in putting performance in the last several years. The individually milled face pattern varies in depth and pitch across the face, which speeds up off-centre impacts, ultimately leading to fewer three-putts and a cleaner stroke from off the middle of the face.  A finally contributing factor to the Voss's effectiveness is the 68-gram PING Pistol 62 grip; the contoured pistol shape fits naturally into the palm and fingertips, promoting a consistent grip pressure which will help get those putts online straight away.

Ping Vault Oslo Putter

Following on from the successes of the Ping Gold Putter Vault, the four models in the new Vault series are designed for golfers with a keen eye for detail and putters which are precision milled to the tightest tolerances. The individually milled face pattern varies in depth and pitch across the face, which speeds up off-centre impacts, ultimately leading to fewer three-putts and a cleaner stroke from off the middle of the face.  The Oslo is a classic looking putter, with a smaller footprint and lower-level sight line and is designed in a classic mallet shape. The mallet bodies are milled from 6061 T-6 aluminium which includes the new TR face technology. The improved stability and roll characteristics result from stainless steel bottom weighting, which boosts MOI and lowers the CG. The Oslo also features a precision double-bend shaft that can be adjusted to match either a Slight Arc or Straight stroke type. A final contributing factor to the Oslo's effectiveness is the 68-gram PING Pistol 62 grip; the contoured pistol shape fits naturally into the palm and fingertips, promoting a consistent grip pressure which will help get those putts online straight away.

Engineered to fit a golfer's stroke tempo and swing preference, the new Ping Cadence TR™ Putter range advances putter fitting utilising different weight inserts to vary the head weight. Traditional-weight heads in the Cadence range feature an aluminum insert (blue face and grip) suiting mid-to-faster tempos, and offer help with lag putting, whereas the Heavy versions (black face and grip) have a stainless steel insert, adding approximately 25 grams for slower tempos and can improve results on shorter putts. (Traditional and heavy grips weigh the same.) Both Cadence TR™ face inserts feature the next generation of 'True Roll Technology' grooves providing maximum forgiveness by normalizing ball speeds across the face. The grooves vary in depth and width from the center of the face to significantly improve ball-speed consistency on putts of any length. Models of the Ping Cadence TR™ putter are available to fit any stroke type, and all feature a black PVD finish and white alignment lines. Optional adjustable-length shafts range from 31" to 38". Ping Karsten TR B60 Adjustable Putter

Ping Karsten TR B60 Adjustable Putter

The new Ping Karsten TR B60 Adjustable Putter are named for the "true roll" they provide, resulting from innovative new variable-depth-groove technology. The grooves are deepest in the center of the face and get gradually shallower toward the perimeter to equalize ball speeds, allowing for exceptional distance control on putts struck on the center, heel or toe, meaning no need to worry about those off centre strikes anymore. An absolutely classic, timless design in 5 of Ping's most popular head shapes, ideal to fit any putting style.   Ideal Putting Stroke Type   The five models feature various hosel designs that determine each putter’s balance. Anser 5 is built for straight a straight forward-straight back stroke; Anser 2, B60 and PAL are balanced for slight arcs; while the Zing head shape fits players with a strong arc.

Variable-Depth Grooves (True Roll)

By varying the groove depths, putts roll nearly identical distances on center, heel or toe strikes. The grooves are deeper in the middle and shallower toward the perimeter, which produces similar ball speed across the entire face.

Elastomer Cavity Insert

An elastomer back-cavity insert enhances sound and feel, offering valuable auditory feedback.

Adjustable-Length Shafts

Traditional-length models adjust from 31 to 38 inches. Adjustability optimizes the fit and maximizes performance.
