Mizuno RB Tour Golf Balls

The Mizuno RB Tour Balls are a new tour-calibre, four-piece golf ball that assures excellent greenside feel plus outstanding performance in windy conditions.
The RB Tour and RB Tour X are virtually identical balls, with the only difference being compression. Both balls have the same dimple pattern and Cone Dimple geometry, as well as the same 4-piece construction with a urethane cover, ionomer mantle layer and a similar dual core with graduated firmness made from Butadiene rubber. Mizuno’s new Cone (C) Dimple is the result of years of wind tunnel testing at Mizuno’s MT test facility. The C-Dimple produces more trigger points to keep fast flowing air close to the ball’s surface for longer - simultaneously reducing drag, and increasing trajectory. The RB Tour is the softer of the two, coming it at a compression of 93, while the RB Tour X compression is 110. In simple terms, higher compression equals more ball speed, and lower compression equals less driver spin. Cosmetically, the RB Tour features black numbering and lettering, while the RB Tour X features Mizuno Blue numbering and lettering. Low driver spin for downward attack angles.

Mizuno MP-X Golf Balls

A new addition to the Mizuno ball range, introducing the MP-X ball to accompany the more responsive MP-S model. Mizuno have unveiled the MP-X ball to expand its use amongst the next generation of tour players and elite amateurs. It's 4 piece construction combines a dual core design, that reduces spin from the driver – suited to more powerful ball strikers, a new, thinner 0.5mm urethane cover enhanceing initial ball speed, and a 330 dimple configuration creating a highly efficient ball flight. Alex Thorne, European Head of Tour Operations, "For the majority of tour players and elite level players, we’ve found the low spin characteristics of the MP-X off the tee, make it more predictable in the long game. Club players who generate a little less spin naturally, will match up better with the MP-S.

Mizuno MP-S Golf Balls

It was dubbed ‘the ball that loves to spin’ on its introduction to the market – the MP-S is Mizuno’s softest, most responsive ball and the new edition maintains that super-soft ultra-responsive trait, whilst adding the extra dimension of increased long game distance, which can't be a bad thing. Mizuno have developed the MP-S ball with a larger inner core and thinner urethane cover than the previous model – adding yards to the long game of mid/high swing speeds. The cover thickness is reduced to just 0.5mm, increasing velocity from the tee, while a 330 dimple configuration creates a highly efficient flight. "The MP-S is a high feel golf ball that works great for mid to high swing speeds – we’ve matched this ball to players who like a little spin to help their ball flight,” said Alex Thorne, Head of Tour Operations. It’s still very responsive around the greens, for guys who like the ball to check up.”

Mizuno JPX-S Golf Balls

Engineered for those seeking premium performance with soft feel, it's the new Mizuno JPX-S Golf Ball. This softer compression model of Mizuno's popular 3 piece ball produces a balanced performance for a wider range of swing speeds. The softer core not only improves feel at impact, but also increases initial ball speeds for the majority of golfers.
The JPX-S Ball features an enhanced version of Mizuno's Dimple-Cluster technology, now with a 566 dimple pattern (54 extra micro dimples) the JPX-S has the ability to maintain it's flight longer due to it's improved aerodynamics, with the micro dimples taking effect at lower speeds, the result is faster ball speeds converting into more yards gained.

Mizuno JPX Golf Balls

In addition to Mizuno's range or Tour level golf balls, they have introduced the new Mizuno JPX Golf Ball with 'Dimple-Cluster' design for delayed descent. The ‘Dimple-Cluster’ design of the new JPX ball is a result of a 3 year study into the descent phase of ball flight. Working in tandem with the Fukuoka Institute of Technology, Mizuno’s ball engineers found that by focusing on dimple performance in the ‘descent phase’, they could effectively extend airtime and overall distance. The result is smaller, micro-dimples within the JPX’s cluster pattern that take effect at slower speeds – as the ball transitions to descent. "The Dimple-Clusters have little effect at higher ball speeds generated at impact. However as the ball peaks and slows, they start to take full effect. By stalling the descent phase just a fraction, we were able to increase the JPX’s overall airtime.” Masashi Tamakoshi – Head of Golf Ball Development.
