Callaway's Big Bertha Epic combines a redesigned ultra-light triaxial carbon crown weighing just 5.8g, (78% lighter than a typical steel crown) with a steel body. The discretionary weight saved using triaxial carbon has allowed Callaway engineers to reposition substantially more weight into strategic locations within the head to dramatically increase MOI and lower the CG, the result is higher launch and more forgiveness.
Distance is enhanced once again thanks to a combination of refined industry-leading Hyper Speed Face Cup technology and the latest Speed Step technology. The 4th generation of Callaway's Hyper Speed Face Cup is now more efficient at delivering high speeds across the entire face due to a thin and flexible rim around the inner side of the face that flexes and releases more uniformly at impact delivering increased distance on both on and off centre strikes. While head speed has also been given an extra boost from Callaway's Speed Step technology. It was always going to be a case of when, and not if Jailbreak found its way into Callaway's fairway woods line up, and here it is. Callaway's R&D team have successfully integrated their groundbreaking Jailbreak Technology into the Rogue Fairway Wood for the first time. Two steel Jailbreak bars stiffen the body, placing more impact load on the face to promote increased ball speed and distance.
Callaway's ultra-thin, Carpenter 455 steel face was already extremely fast by itself. By adding Jailbreak Technology it just got a whole lot faster. It wouldn't really be Cobra without the iconic rails, and the King F7 Fairway has them, featuring a new 'Baffler Dual Rail System', the progressive rail design offers shallower or steeper rails depending on the club loft and angle of attack, delivering a more forgiving and efficient turf interaction when hitting from virtually any lie.

Faster more forgiving rails are a feature of the re-engineered Baffler Rail design. The progressive rail heights optimize the club's bounce angle depending on the loft and attack angle of the swing. The rails increase the clubs leading edge bounce enabling golfers to retain clubhead speed through impact, keeping the clubhead lower to the ground and allowing it to skim over the surface rather than dig into the turf.
