2021 Cobra Putter Range

2021 Cobra Putter Range

Cobra putters are back with 10 new models in two very different families. Last year we were treated to a surprise release of a 3D printed putter in the King SuperSport-3 with help from tech tycoons HP.

The range is all about pushing the limits of what a putter can achieve and creating something that performs better both in terms of roll quality and stability. The collection features some rather bold and daring designs, but it is Cobra after all.

The King Vintage Series is a blend of classic shapes with a blend of modern technology for the player who prefers a more traditional look behind the ball. Cobra has collaborated with partners SIK Golf and Bryson DeChambeau to design improved roll in a soft feeling aluminium face insert.

Looking at the new King 3D-Printed range, the first model is the King GrandSport-35 which has an oversized blade shape and plumber neck design making it perfect for the player who has a slight arc. This putter is also available in an armlock styling.

Grandsport 35 combines a steel chassis with aluminium in the crown, heavy tungsten weighting and nylon lattice cartridges. This optimises the CG and repositions weight into the extremities of the head for outstanding balance, forgiveness and stability even on toe and heel strikes.

The King SuperNova is an oversized fang design with the intentions of maximum MOI and forgiveness on off-centre hits.

SIK face technology is now used in the 3D family of putters. As seen in US Open Champion Bryson Dechambeau's putter, this face features Descending Loft Technology (DLT) whereby the face is split into four descending loft zones to ensure the most consistent roll and launch angle for a variety of putting strokes and attack angles. This produces the most effective 1.5° loft whether the putter is ascending, descending or neutral at impact for unrivalled roll.

The final model in the 3D-printed range is the Agera and it is certainly the most “out there” putter of the lot. A high-tech 3D Printed face insert in the highest MOI, most forgiving putter design in the lineup for complete putting performance.

Partnering with HP, Cobra's first-ever family of 3D printed, multi-material putters, take stability and forgiveness to a whole new level. Agera is a modern, oversize mallet-style putter featuring extreme perimeter stability and enhanced alignment aids in a single bend neck for the optimum blend of forgiveness and accuracy targeting straight putting strokes.

Onto the King Vintage range, the first thing you will notice is the design change. A much simpler, classic look that is worlds apart from the 3D family.

If you’re looking for the most traditionally styled putter then the Vintage Sport-45 is the one for you. Styled like a Ping Anser putter, a simple blade design with a plumber neck hosel promotes a toe hang for those with an arced putting stroke.

Vintage Sport 45 combines a 304 stainless steel chassis with adjustable tungsten weighting in the toe and heel areas. This optimises the CG and repositions weight into the perimeters of the head for added forgiveness and consistency on off-centre strikes. There is also a King Vintage Sport-60 which is the same design but with a flow-neck hosel which promotes more toe hang.

The King Vintage Torino has a face-balanced design for the player with a straight back-straight through stroke and again features an adjustable sole weighting system to dial in feel and stability.

Cobra's King Vintage Nova Putter combines the hugely popular fang shape with SIK face technology and contrasting alignment markings for ultimate stability and consistency.

The next variation of the Vintage range is the King Vintage Stingray. This shape is a very popular one in the golfing world and has the look of a TaylorMade Spider and Odyssey Ten putters. This putter is for a slightly arcing stroke and has a very high MOI.
