Callaway Chrome Soft X LS Golf Ball Review
Golf manufacturers have become savvy to the fact that one golf ball does not fit all and therefore have started to produce different styles of balls.
With golf clubs evolving as fast as we’ve ever seen before it was only a matter of time before the focus was switched to the ball. Drivers now come in low spin, draw bias, maximum forgiveness and many more options and now golf manufacturers are focusing on balls.
Although golf balls have a lot of catching up to do, this year Callaway have introduced the Chrome Soft X LS (low spin) ball. This ball is aimed at the player with a faster swing speed or a lower handicap. If you want to maximise your potential distance and start hitting it like Bryson (DeChambeau), then this ball will aid you in that direction. Callaway has stated the LS is their longest tour ball, so if distance is your priority, then this is the model you are looking for.
The Chrome Soft X LS is also available with triple track technology. This is particularly useful if you have an Odyssey Triple Track putter as the alignment aid is next level for any golfer whether that be club or tour level.
Combining the renowned accuracy of Chrome Soft with even lower long game spin than standard Chrome Soft X, Chrome Soft X LS features a new optimised aero design for reduced drag and more penetrating trajectories.
A new thinner proprietary urethane cover provides a soft feel and excellent short game spin to attack flags from anywhere, giving players unrivalled control, particularly within 50 yards.
It has a large SoftFast Core which increases speed and distance. The high-speed dual mantle system is designed for higher ball speeds. The soft inner mantle and highly resilient firm outer mantle work together to generate fastballs speeds off the clubface throughout the bag.
This ball isn’t aimed at your average club golfer who struggles to hit his drives over 200 yards. It is aimed at elite, top-level golfers. The only way to seek the maximum potential of this ball is to generate fast swing speeds.
