TaylorMade Milled Grind 3 Wedges
At last week's 3M Open, TaylorMade’s brand new Milled Grind 3 wedges were spotted. These are the successors to the brand's MG2 wedges and the looks of these new clubs are sure to get people excited for their launch.
It seems that TaylorMade has moved away from the TPU Insert at the back of the cavity- which was first introduced to dampen the vibrations and to create a solid feel at impact. What we can expect now is a more traditional-looking bladed wedge with no extra help in the head.
It is very likely that the MG3’s will see the return of the raw face that was introduced in the MG2’s. The Raw Face Design - Omitting plating from the face and grooves allows for more precise geometry optimizing spin and feel.
Modern-day golf has seen the introduction of new cavity back design wedges while TaylorMade has completely stripped it back and brought us a new players wedge, perfect for the player seeking unrivaled feel around the greens.
