What is the best golf equipment of 2021?
Upon the recent announcement of the 2021 Golf Digest Hotlist Scores, we take a look at the best-ranked equipment of 2021.
Starting at the top of the bag and in some people’s opinion ‘the most important' club in the bag, driver. It is a club that everyone wishes to hit well and let’s face it, you hit a good drive and you are in a great position to go on and make par or better.
The number one ranked driver of 2021 according to Golf Digest is the Callaway Epic which received a score of 19.5/20, a near to perfect score. Some would say the driver still has room for improvement to make it the magic 20/20. When testing the Epic drivers we have to admit, they were a very, very good golf club. It has a very traditional aesthetic which appeals to a wide audience, but it is packed full of new technology such as the AI Flash Face and the new Jailbreak technology. The runner up to the Callaway driver and probably to nobody’s surprise, the TaylorMade SIM2. Callaway and TaylorMade have been two of the market leaders in golf equipment for several years now and it seems that Golf Digest also agree.
The results of the fairway woods were identical to the driver. Callaway and TaylorMade coming out on top again and both scoring perfect 20/20 scores. Quite phenomenal really.
The leading irons on the Hotlist are the Callaway Apex irons (20/20). The only iron to obtain a perfect score. Callaway has done a great job at making the Apex range accessible for all golfing abilities. From touring pro (Apex MB) to high handicap golfer seeking game improvement irons (Apex DCB), the Apex range has it all.
Now at the bottom of the bag and the most used club, the putter. It is a clean sweep for Callaway who take gold again with the White Hot OG Putter. The WHOG Mallet putter accrued a 19.5/20 score. One of the most popular putters on tour with Odyssey being the most successful brand on tour last season.
That sums up the highest-rated equipment for 2021 and gives you an insight into what the experts think of the newest products on the market.
