FootJoy HyperFlex BOA Review

FootJoy HyperFlex BOA Review

FootJoy is the market leader when it comes to golf footwear and it is no surprise when you look at the range of styles they have to offer. They cover all areas and suit multiple consumers whether that be a traditional shoe or a newer market trainer style.

Golf has seen a recent surge in the last year and a half, mainly due to the coronavirus and team sports having to be postponed. This resulting in a huge number of new players joining the game. Not only did this having a positive impact on playing numbers, but it also helped local golf clubs and shops stay afloat in this uncertain time. Many of the new golfers were between the ages of 18-30. Many who participated in the team sports decided to take up golf whilst other sports couldn’t continue.

Due to this new age of golfers, FootJoy decided to release their most futuristic, modern style comfort shoe ever! The FootJoy Hyperflex BOA. Yes, quite a mouthful. FootJoy is renowned for its quirky names for all products in their range.

The BOA’s have been seen worn by PGA Touring professionals such as Charles Howell III and Jimmy Walker. At first sight, they really do take your breath away and for some, not in a good way! But I feel they are different for the right reasons.

The Hyperflex BOA gives an effortless, precision fit and durability that you don't get from traditional laces. It provides a better connection to your shoe — improving stability, control, and power. FootJoy's revolutionary PowerHarness wraps your foot in comfort and releases power into your golf swing. The engineered mesh uppers with TPU yarns provide enhanced structure and support and are completely waterproof, offering a 1-year waterproof warranty.

Overall FootJoy has done a fantastic job and revolutionised what can be achieved with a golf shoe. Comfort, practicality and style equal the Hyperflex BOA.
