New this season is the Galvin Green Akita Ladies Waterproof Jacket, a waterproof full zip jacket in ultra-lightweight GORE-TEX ® Paclite ® Technology fabric. Extremely breathable for greater comfort, as well as offering reliable protection from the elements, the fabric of this garment is able to release excess heat and moisture so you stay dry and warm but not sweaty. The Akita is lightweight and packable which makes it easy to pop into a golf bag pocket ready for when you need it. The stretch fabric of this jacket also allows for maximum range of movement during play so you won't feel restricted in any way.
The Akita has classic feminine styling with a fitted waist and pre-shaped sleeves for easy movement and Galvin Green branding on the lower left sleeve and at the back of the neck finishes off the look nicely. A repositioned side seam, an elastic drawstring adjuster at the hem and adjustable cuffs provide optimum comfort and fit. There are two front pockets with zipper closure to keep all those essential items safe and secure, and a water repellent two-way front zipper provides full waterproof protection should you be caught out in the rain. GORE-TEX® Paclite® Technology features the lightest, most packable fabrics. Durably waterproof, windproof, and extremely breathable. The GORE-TEX® membrane contains over 1.4 billion microscopic pores per square cm. These pores are 20,000 times smaller than a water droplet, but 700 times larger than a water vapour molecule, which makes the GORE-TEX® membrane completely waterproof from the outside, while allowing perspiration to escape from the inside.
