TaylorMade Spider GT Splitback #3 Golf Putter

TaylorMade introduces the Spider GT Splitback to the acclaimed Spider franchise setting a new standard of performance and contemporary construction.

A sophisticated 304-stainless steel design with geometric form and urethane foam carefully injected within the putter head distinguishes the Spider GT Splitback.

TaylorMade's "winged" split mass design enables them to transfer mass around the perimeter of the putter to increase MOI and stability. A steel body gives higher perimeter weighting than an aluminium body in this design.

The wing parts of the design had to be partially pocketed out to eliminate unnecessary weight because to the high density of steel. Feel foam is used to fill the chambers within the wings, similar to the Speed Foam material used in the P770/P790 irons. This fills in the gaps and dampens vibrations, improving sound and sensation.

True Path, TaylorMade's ball alignment and stroke visualisation aid, is included in Spider GT Splitback, making it one of the highlight features of Spider X. True Path is very apparent and seamlessly integrated into the head when standing above Spider GT Splitback. Golfers can visualise their putting stroke and ball path before executing the putt thanks to the contrasting white part, black sightline, and arrow-shaped rear edge.

The short slant design combines with Spider GTs extreme perimeter weighting to generate 21 of toe hang for a more vertical angle, delivering a putter that best fits players with moderate face rotation in the putting stroke. The CG has been moved closer to face for an improved face rotation.
