As with the M5 Titanium, Taylormade scientists have managed to engineer the ultra-successful Twist Face technology into the face of the new M6 Fairway. This innovative game changer is designed to offer corrective face angles on mis-centred strikes, delivering less loft and a slightly closed clubface in the heel zone to prevent those high spinning cut shots, while the toe area actually offers more loft with a slightly open clubface to help reduce the low pull hook shot. This gives golfers extra forgiveness in the areas they need it most, to help keep poor shots in play, inspiring confidence from both the tee and the fairway. The M6 is crafted from superior materials compared to both its competitors and its predecessors for enhanced aerodynamic performance. The crown now features a much larger carbon fibre area which sits directly behind the familiar light grey front section, designed to redistribute and save weight for increased clubhead speed with an improved CG location. This head also provides a sleek and dynamic look at address with its slightly larger profile to aid in confidence, while a fractionally deeper face produces maximal distance and playability. This face is made from an ultra-thin C300 steel which has been developed to offer explosive ball speeds at impact with a powerful sound and feel, for unmatched firepower from the tee or going into the green on a par 5. The insane speed generated by M6 though comes from an advanced Speed Pocket design. This slot sits just behind the face and features much-improved flexibility compared to its predecessors to produce much greater face flexing at impact for extreme ball speeds and unparalleled distance. This slot is now filled with a high-quality TPU insert which fits more flush to the surface to improved turf interaction and therefore consistency from both the fairway and rough alike. Fitted with the ultra-premium Fujikura Atmos Orange shaft as standard, designed to offer mid-high launching trajectories with either low spin or mid-high spin dependent on shaft flex, the M6 Fairway is simply built for game changing forgiveness and power.
